The Bhalswa Lake in Northwest Delhi is a natural, freshwater lake spread across an area of 34 hectares. Originally shaped like a horseshoe, the lake was formed from one of the meanders that the Yamuna river left behind while changing its course. Set in a picturesque location, the lake has been developed into a leisure and sports complex. This excellent wetland is also home toa variety of wildlife, especially water birds like storks, cranes, waterfowl, etc.
