The 'U' shaped, double-storey complex of Khan Market was constructed in the year 1951. Today, it is considered to be one of the oldest and the most high-end markets in the capital. The upscale market has been named after Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Khan, who was popularly known as Frontier Gandhi.
Apart from upmarket boutiques, branded showrooms and lifestyle stores, the market is also a 'must-visit' for food and beverage lovers. From artsy cafes, upbeat nightclubs to luxurious restaurants serving Mediterranean, Chinese and Pan Asian menu, Khan Market has something for all age groups. Although frequented by locals, it is a favourite hangout point of the diplomatic and expat community as well.
